I'm Alex Lakin, an LA-based director of photography and colorist who's always on the lookout for interesting frames. Alaskan born, I’ve always had a soft spot for the open wilderness, and it’s been an influence for much of my work.

My work as a DP has allowed me to work with brands like Disney, Marvel, United Airlines, Porsche, and Fuse TV.

I am also the founder of Coloring Book, a color finishing studio in Los Angeles - focusing on rich, bold, filmic color. It has allowed me to work with not just digital, but also 16mm and 35mm film.

When not shooting, I'm usually found wandering somewhere in the mountains. Taking some snaps along the way with my dog, Q.
